Foramen Paintings | 2016

By trying to resolve an environmental situation that the Foramen would live in, these paintings try to provide a narrative that makes sense of their origins, and furthermore try to suggest a way in which they function into a landscape. ‘Observation Goals’ for example sees a group of 3 Foramen trying to edge their way to the top of a mountain-like surface to reach the bench at the top. The bench, like a normal bench, acts as a reflection point for observing the surroundings, however it also functions as a position to become a more permanent member of the landscape, to exist among the mountains as omniscient creatures.
