These maquettes are the small scale experiments in clay for making larger forms in plaster for the Foramen project. I have made 7 with the intentions of selecting a few to follow them over into large scale plaster sculptures. I have played with the ideas of using different interpretations of the human body to suggest different personalities and characteristics based on the formal features, such as the height, shape, amount of holes and placement of the hole in placement with the body.
