Part of a larger installation involved with the Foramen project, these animations show the micro version of what a simple form of their early cells could look like. They do not show a literal form of what a ‘cell’ is, but rather suggest an open idea of how a subject metabolises from micro to macro in the same simple structure. By using such simple imagery, it brings forward the same ideas as looking through a microscope and seeing cells floating around in cytoplasm. It’s this image that is widely accepted as the building blocks of living subjects, and therefore this exists as a general overview of the way microcosms are viewed.
