THE CARETAKERS, Liminal Creative

As part of the Art Collective Liminal Creative, this project culminated in several street performances shown at Frequency Festival in Lincoln. The performance delves into the realities of those experiencing memory loss and dementia, and aims to raise awareness of the condition and how it effects the people around those who experience memory loss.

Inspired by Carl Sagan’s Blue Dot Speech, this was a community project commissioned by The Leap and included members of the youth club People First in Keighley to help design the bandstand mural in Cliffe Castle Park.

THE PEOPLE’S PANTRY

A community project commissioned by LeftCoast to design and build a social space for local community members to grow, prepare and store their own produce.

A community project inspired by the Summer Solstice and shared celebrations working with Rotherham Museums, St Bedes Catholic School, Artworks and The Chislett Centre’s Men’s Art Group and Chat n Chill social group.

pINT OF SCIENCE

A project inspired by creative reactions to Science. We used Angela Thornton’s research on Mind Uploading to create a live performance based on Cognitive Dissonance.

SONIC WHISPERS

Working with Barnsley Libraries over the Bibliobeats Reading and Music Festival in Barnsley, Emma Denby and Carl Cole ran a series of workshops exploring live music and Synesthesia

BRIAN’S BENCH

This project was organised by KHL Community Workshop in Corby to commemorate the legacy of Brian Dunn, the founder of the workshop.

NEURO WINDOWS

Commissioned by Wild Rumpus for Hinterlands Film Festival in Skipton, this light installation illustrates the visual responses in my minds eye through the experiences of Synesthesia

KHL WORKSHOP Woodwork Inductions

A series of woodwork inductions for beginner use of hand tools and introductions to woodwork machinery and equipment, both resulting in a handmade item created during the project by the participants

Artist Residency organised by Mayes Creative and located at YHA Land’s End encompassing Archeoastronomy, Ancient Structures and Mythology in Cornwall

MADE WITH MANY Artist in Residence Community Workshops

Workshops consisting of various methods to create sculpture, both in constructing sculpture in different clays and casting the sculpture using silicone and jesmonite

MAKE IT HAPPEN

An intensive experience ran by renowned arts collective Periplum to explore the creation, organisation and fabrication of installations within the outdoor arts sector

SIRENS

Produced for Hull’s Freedom Festival and working in collaboration with Liminal Creative, Sirens is an accessible, interactive sound and light installation created in response to highlighting the impact of modern human trafficking
